GENERAL INFORMATION

Our Florida State Board Exam AND Certified Clinical Electrologist (CCE) exam preparation program requires:

  • 320 training hours
  • 120 hours academic training,
  • 200 hours of practical application
  • The total cost of the program is $5000.
  • When you pass the Florida State electrolysis exam you will become a registered electrologist.
  • You can only be legally certified through an accredited school program not through any company that sells the equipment.
  • We have lectures on a daily basis 10AM to 4PM. Every day 9AM to 7PM students can perform hands-on clinical practice. You can make your own flexible schedule, (twice a week, three times a week, only mornings or only afternoons, etc.).

Our Certified Medical Electrologist (CME) Training Program Requires:

  • 30 hours continuing education course
  • Hands on Clinical experience supervised
  • Your certificate from this program entitles you to sit for the Certified Medical Electrologist (CME) exam.
  • Program total cost $2500.
  • The state of Florida, Rule # 64B8-53.003. requires that every person holds a valid Forida State Electrologist's license before being certified on any laser equipment. The only exemptions are M.D.'s, ARNP's, and D.O.'s and P.A.'s, they are not required to go through electrolysis training, they are ony required to have the proper laser training which is the 30 hour continuing education course.

Faculty
The Electrolysis Institute of Tampa, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is owned and governed by Rita Kruse. This school is not affiliated with any other training institute.

Admission Policy and Requirements
All students must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or general education development certificate (GED); or recognized equivalent. Documentation is required. An interview is required for all persons requesting admission to the Institute. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated or practiced at the Electrolysis Institute of Tampa, Inc.


Student Placement
The Institute does not guarantee job placement for its graduates. However, we will assist students in obtaining employment when such opportunuites arise. Any student may request assistance. Graduation and placement statistics are available upon request.

Conduct and Personal Appearance

  • Students must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  • Students are required to furnish and wear an all white uniform (Approximate cost $35).
  • No logos or writing allowed on apparel.
  • Shorts may only be worn for practical training as advised by instructor, otherwise, pants or skirts (with white pantyhose) must be worn.
  • Students must be presentable and well-groomed at all times.
  • The Institute is a non-smoking facility.
  • The Institute reserves the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is deemed inappropriate.

Facilities
Located in a new facility the institute provides an environment condusive to all phases of training. The faculty has state-of-the-art equipment for practical training in a clinical environment. Students receive theoretical training in the media room via instructor, video and audio presentation. Students have access to up-to-date information relevant to the profession in an ideal learning environment.


Registration and Enrollment
The school enrolls students on a continuous basis. Registration is required at least one week prior to start date. Registration and supply fees are due at this time. Student interview is required. Registration is by appointment only.

9 am to 6 pm
Saturdays 9-4
Sunday by appointment only
Electrolysis course is 320 hours. 120 hours of study (theory) and 200 hours practical/hands on (schedule to be provided to instructor)
Laser course is 30 hours.
